The town of Kronberg im Taunus discovered microbiological contamination during an early routine testing of its drinking water. This precautionary measure was subsequently decided upon in consultation with the Hochtaunus District Health Department.
Infant formula should never be prepared with boiled tap water.
The Oberhöchstadt district is not affected by the measure because it has other water supply routes.
